Fibrulose™

Derived from: chicory root

Fibrulose™ is a low-calorie (approx. 2 kcal/g) dietary fibre that is suitable for diabetics and is used for fat and sugar reduction purposes. It is available in powder (Fibrulose&tarde; F97) and syrup (Fibrulose&tarde; LCF) form. Given its excellent water solubility, Fibrulose™ can be used for a wide range of different foods, and as oligofructose syrup also for high-dry-matter products. Fructooligosaccharides, which occur naturally in chicory, are obtained from chicory root using the hot water extraction method.

Oligofructose syrup has a mild sweetness (approx. 50 % of the sweetness of saccharose) and in combination with other sweeteners can lessen any possible metallic aftertaste.
